Kofte (Turkish Meatballs)

Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion peeled and grated
- 3 slices of bread to make bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup parsley leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
Recipe
- In a medium bowl combine breadcrumbs, grated onions, and ground beef.
- Chop parsley, add to the mixture.
- Combine with egg and seasonings.
- Knead the mixture well, make meatballs
- Flatten them in an oblong shape.
Alternative cooking methods:
- Fry them in cooking oil
- Bake them in 350* F oven
- Grill them on both sides until done
